Suh M. 2016. Cumulative risk assessment of urban air toxics: A pilot study in San Antonio, Texas. Presented in the “Quantitative Cumulative Risk Assessment: Is it Feasible Today?” Session of the Society of Toxicology’s 55th Annual Meeting, March 13-17, New Orleans, LA.
Abstract
A pilot study was conducted in an urban area to test modeling strategies for quantitative cumulative risk assessment involving emissions from coal-fired power plants.
Study hypothesis: The cumulative effect of social (non-chemical) stressors and exposures to urban air toxics increases the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality.
